China
Throughout 2016 iStandUK have been working with the British Standards Institute in their joint programme with China, to compare the ‘Smart City Concept Model’ ,to the Chinese equivalent, the ‘Domain Knowledge Model’. This will create a semantic framework in which data originating in any functional area ( say – health, energy, transport, etc ) can be aligned to data from other areas, using a common set of terms.
New Zealand
We are working with ALGIM in New Zealand, to create a Linked Data toolkit. This will provide tools and guidance to councils about publishing data using the RDF data model, so that data from many councils, on the same theme and be combined and queried.
