We were excited to see that the BOLD programme has published their first statistical release which examines the characteristics of offenders that relate to the likelihood of completing drug and alcohol treatment.
Their report is at:
The report follows a rigorous method, that links data from a range of sources, and can be repeated for other types of needs and outcomes. This is the type of study that SAVVI will want to encourage to build evidence from which local vulnerability initiates can be defined.
The Ministry of Justice led BOLD (Better Outcomes through Linked Data) programme has been created to demonstrate how people with complex needs can be better supported by linking and improving the government data held on them in a safe and secure way. BOLD will initially focus on reducing homelessness, supporting victims of crime, reducing substance misuse and reducing reoffending.
We’d be interested in your thoughts on the BOLD report, and how this style of report could be a basis for evidence to drive local vulnerability projects. Do get in touch at info@savviuk.org.
