It is expected that the forthcoming Housing Bill will require councils to maintain a register of ‘Brown Field Sites’.
iStandUK has been asked to lead the development of data standards and controlled vocabularies to enable these local registers to be created with consistent scope and layout so that they can be harvested into a national list.

- 4th February in Manchester
The Department for Communities and Local Government have invited up to 20 councils to take part in a pilot phase to define the requirements and standards for the registers.
